Agrasys’ R&D model is one in which its research scientists work under formal collaborative research agreements in the facilities of other research organizations. Agrasys is a spin-off from the CSIC centre, the Institute for Sustainable Agriculture (IAS) in Cordoba and has a special agreement with the Genetics, Breeding and Biotechnology Department lead by Professor Antonio Martin and Dr Francisco Barro. Agrasys performs glasshouse and field research facilities at IAS and at an experimental farm at Almodovar del Río, Cordoba. In addition, the company has personnel working at the Department of Natural Products, Plant Biology and Soil Science, Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Barcelona.

We believe that our R&D model offers a series of advantages in terms of giving access to state-of-the art facilities and the association of Agrasys scientists with leading research groups in our areas of interest. At the same time, it offers flexibility in that new collaborations / placements can be made as and when research needs change, giving rapid access to the best facilities and expertise.
